Not Everybody Loves Technology, Kip
This weekend, I went to the Cingular store to pay my bill and get them to turn off the "you have a text message, just kidding!" icon on my phone. They have a little payment kiosk which is very easy and self-explanatory. When I walked in, there was an old hillbilly trying to use it. He was standing there punching buttons for like 10 minutes and I found myself asking the burning question, "How many bills are you paying, Leroy?" Finally, he walked away from the kiosk and I converged upon it. But during the 30 seconds it took to pay my bill, I heard his conversation with an employee at the store:
Employee: Sir, is there anything I can help you with?
Leroy: Well, I need to pay my bill, but I ain't putting my account number on no machine. So I'll just bring my bill over here to you and pay it.
Employee: OK, I can help you with that.
Leroy: I was going to pay it over there, but I ain't putting no account numbers on no machines.
Employee: OK, you can pay it here. I'll enter in the information for you.
Leroy: Now, you ain't gonna take my account number and put it in on that machine there are you?
Employee: Yes, sir. We have to have your account number so we can pay your bill.
Leroy: Is that the same as that machine over there?
Employee: It's similar.
Leroy: But it ain't exactly the same?
Employee: It's not exactly the same, no.
Leroy: I don't want my account number on no machine.
Employee: If you don't want your bank account number to be used, we do accept credit cards. You can pay your bill that way.
Leroy: I sure don't want my credit card number on no machine!
Bless Leroy's heart. Perhaps he should start paying with cash.

lol, oh my goodness. Yeah, I think cash or a money order would be his best bet.
Perhaps he could barter with goats or chickens.
Good suggestions, all.
Aw man...poor Leroy. LOL
