In other news, I finished Velvet Elvis: Repainting the Christian Faith by Rob Bell yesterday. I loved it. Here's a link to a bunch of quotes I pulled out of it.
It touched on something that I tried to express in an earlier blog entry but failed miserably at.
Oftentimes the Christian community has sent the message that we love people and build relationships in order to convert them to the Christian faith. So there is an agenda. And when there is an agenda, it isn't really love, is it? It's something else. We have to rediscover love, period. Love that loves because it is what Jesus teaches us to do. We have to surrender our agendas. -- page 167

Wow, I like the quotes. That sounds like a good book. :)
I really really liked it. I like authors that write like that though. He reminds me a lot of Donald Miller and he's one of my favorites.
Oh dear, now that song is gonna be stuck in my head all day.
