I took yesterday off work since my customers were off and I still felt fairly miserable. I decided to take advantage of my day off by visiting the
Prepare to be freaked out--
I also got a Neti Pot. Creepy, huh? Yeah, it's a little ridiculous, but the dang thing works like a charm! What's weird is that when I google it, every picture of someone demonstrating it has a smile on their face. When I use it, I do not have a smile on my face. In fact, the first time I used it, I didn't have the salt all the way dissolved and it burned and brought tears to my eyes. There might have been some cursing going on, but definitely not smiling. I've used it a couple of times since then and I pretty much have it down now. It isn't unpleasant, but it doesn't really make me want to smile.
Here's a video for those of you who want to continue to be creeped out by it.
(This is the one exception to the "every demonstration features a smiling person" trend that I've found. This lady looks like a robot.)
All I know is that I had terrible sinus pressure and I couldn't breathe through my nose. Then I used this and now the sinus pressure is gone and I can mostly breathe through my nose again. Being creepy is a small price to pay.

I wonder how much they had to pay her....
A) I've actually considered getting one of those, still considering,,,considering,,,
B) Is "ass" still as funny to you as it is to me? Seriously, if I'm swamped with work or stressed, sometimes I think about all of our "ass" moments and find a way to smile...
sometimes I just have to think or say the word "ass", and I smile, like now...
*note for others - 'tis impossible to 'splain, just trust me and laugh :)
Ok, that is definitely creepy, but if it works that is good I suppose. Also, she does behave a lot like robot, but at least she is not smiling!
:)
Jim-
About a million times a day, someone will do something and I'll think, "JackASS!" ...sometimes it's all I can do to keep from saying it out loud. Sometimes it's more than all I can do to keep from saying it out loud.
oh my. maybe that is what I need. I've just been miserable.
But that looks, well, it just doesn't look right.
This is the first time I've heard of a Neti Pot. And that woman was creepy. Very creepy. And I can just imagine you shooting water through your nose. It makes me laugh :D
oh. my. gosh. I have never seen anything like that, and oh yes, I am creeped out.
Miss Mary Mack Mack, I'm glad you're back back back!
