I just didn't figure it would be physical therapy.
I went for my follow up sacroiliac appointment today and he is referring me to a physical therapist twice a week for a couple of weeks. Then I have to go back and see him again.
When he said, "Physical Therapy", I immediately associated it with a story that a co-worker told about his physical therapy after having ACL surgery.
He was made to wear one of those huge immobilizer things for his leg, and as such, his clothing choices were limited--not everything would fit over the brace. So he chose some loose fitting shorts and went to therapy. His first day there, the lady asked him to do a hand stand, leaning against the wall as she held on to his legs to stabilize him. He looked at her and said something along the lines of, "Well, there's no good way to tell you this, but I can't get underwear on over this brace, so I'm not wearing any." I'm pretty sure she made him do the exercise anyway.
I WILL be wearing underwear to my physical therapy sessions, just so you know.

hi! I was blog surfing and came here! I liked reading some of your old stories as well. :) Check out my blog sometime! I'll visit again...
How odd... I don't think I could do a handstand even without having had ACL surgery.
If I ever have carpal tunnel problems, maybe they can teach me how to do a cartwheel. I always wanted to know how to do that...
she just wanted to peak at his ahem... abilities
Oh too funny. In a physical therapy kind of way :)
I'm behind on reading my blogs, so sorry this is a little late. It sucks that you have to go to physical therapy, but it's for the best, huh? Take care fo yourself!
