You might think that around my house, May Day is a big celebration...or you might not. Have any of you ever celebrated May Day? I know you're supposed to gather in big groups and gaily dance around a pole (wait, did I just describe a strip club?)with ribbons, but I've never seen that put into practice.
Speaking of ribbons, does anybody know of any fun crafty type projects that would use up various kinds of ribbon? I have several pieces of ribbon that aren't really big enough to use on my paintings and I don't know what else to do with them. But I don't want to throw them away. I shall Google...
This is kind of cute. A ribbon belt. I don't know what Banroll or Thermoweb is, though. But it does look like there's not a lot of sewing involved. This is good because I don't have a sewing machine. OK, let's face it, I'm not going to make this belt. I've pretty much never picked up a sewing needle in my life. But it is kinda cute. Maybe I could hot glue it! Just kidding.
Any other ideas? I found some pretty lame ones during my search.

How much extra ribbon do you have? I'm looking to tie up my three teenaged daughters in their room until they are 30 or so...(just teasing, of course)...maybe!!!
That is a cute belt. I wouldn't have the patience to make it, though :)
Thanks for stopping by my site!!!

I was thinking about this just today, why we don't celebrate May Day more.
I used to have a friend whose birthday was May 1st . . .
Well, I might have enough ribbon to tie up ONE of your teenaged daughters, but not enough for three! Maybe we could take up a collection?
