Even with all of the hubbub about Daylight Saving Time (I always thought it was Daylight Savings Time, but it's technically not.), leave it to me to completely forget about it. As such, I had 30 minutes to get ready for church (and drive all the way across town to get there) this morning. Better late than never!
Maybe I was invigorated from having to rush like crazy this morning or maybe spring is in the air, but when I got home from church, I thought, "What a nice day. I should mow my yard for the first time of the season!" This is where the temporary insanity comes in. Every year at the beginning of spring, I think, "Ooh, I don't know what I complain about. Mowing the yard isn't so bad. Look how much nicer it looks when it's been freshly mowed. I hear the birds chirping. I should fertilize the yard while I'm at it and maybe sprinkle some grass seed about in the bald patches of my yard. Isn't this fun?!"
Then around about July, I change my tune to something like, "What the heck was I thinking FERTILIZING this mess? Bald patches of lawn are good. Less mowing. Owwwwwwwww sweat in my eyes, sweat in my eyes! I should have the grass removed and replaced with astroturf. Then I could just hose it off once a week and it would be good as new. Why does my neighbor's cat always have to crap in my flower bed? Why don't I have any trees? Shade would be nice."
So the moral of the story is that I need to plant some flowers NOW, while I'm still temporarily insane. A few weeks from now and I'll start to come to my senses.

Oh, we're not close to mowing season yet. Although I'm ready to weed and bring in all the pots and start some seeds!
As for Daylight Saving(s) Time, if you saw the page I was referred to, you'll see that using the S is accepted usage and appears in the dictionary. Sounds like everyone's right.
Or else it's like the Canadian Canada goose, which is a Canada Goose from the country of Canada.
I got a bunch of paperwork about how to change my meeting notices and stuff like that due to DST and it said "Daylight Saving Time"...it just doesn't sound right. It's good to know that both are accepted!
