Bee Poop in my Hair

Earlier this morning, I couldn't think for the life of me what I was going to blog about today. Nothing particularly random had happened to me, and I had expended all of my creative energy on tomorrow's blog entry (yes, I'm blogging out of order.). That all changed when I left for lunch.

As I walked out the front door of my building, I noticed that the sky was thick with dark, flying, insects of some sort. My first thought was, "Oh gosh...it's a plague of locusts, or one of those end time plagues--the one with the weird stinging bugs. Maybe I should go back inside and tell someone." They were flying back and forth and moving pretty fast. I actually thought it was kind of charming until I got into the middle of them and noticed they were bees. At that point, I began to walk faster and lament that I use vanilla scented shampoo and conditioner. I mean, what if bees are really into vanilla? I made it all the way through them and then I started to worry that some were hiding out in my hair. I ran my hand over my hair and didn't find any bees, but I did notice that my hair was harboring little drops of wet stuff. I tried to fool myself into thinking that they showered me with honey, but I don't think they carry around honey with which to baptize people.

I think it was bee poop.

P.S.-Please forgive the whiteness of the links. After tomorrow, I'll change them back to blue. I'm experimenting with something...
