So we celebrated President's Day at Oaklawn yesterday. If I had any guts at all, I would turn into an obsessive gambler. I just like it. Fortunately, I'm also a logical tightwad and therefore I don't allow myself to take many chances and blow lots of money. (Maybe I should drink more.) As such, I only lost $6 yesterday.
I should really study up on the different fancy ways to bet on horses. I need to learn more about trifectas and exactas and superfectas. Then I could lose even more money.
By the way, this is the first time I've ever lost money at the horse races. I have always won at least a couple of bucks.
Today is a brand new day. My losing streak is over. Today I've successfully settled into my new cube with new neighbors and a nearby window which will help me absorb my recommended daily requirement of the sunshine vitamin. Life is looking up.
