Brr!

It's cold today. There was actually frost on the ground this morning and I'm not sure that there's not frost on my desk. Apparently they don't see any reason to turn the air conditioning off, even though it's colder than a witch's tit in a brass bra.

Yesterday I joined a recipe exchange. These are the recipes that people have given me so far:

Magic Bars

1 graham cracker crust
1 cup pecans
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup coconut
1 can Eagle Brand Milk

But the cup of nuts in the graham cracker crust first, then the chocolate chips, then the coconut, then pour the can of milk over all of those ingredients, let it set 5-10 minutes while oven preheats on 350 degrees. Put in oven and bake for about 20 minutes and coconut is toasted. Let cool and cut into pieces.

Key Lime Pie

1 small package of fat free Key Lime Jell-O

2 small tubs of light Key Lime Yogurt

1 small tub of fat free Cool Whip

2 reduced fat Graham Cracker Pie Crusts

Prepare Jell-O according to package (do not add cold water).

Wisk in yogurt.

Wisk (or fold) in Cool Whip.

Pour into pie crusts. Chill for 2 hours.

Makes 2 pies.

If you use the fat free and reduced fat ingredients, one slice of pie (approx 1/8 of pie) is less than 2 points!

Chocolate Chip Cheesecake

2 lbs. chocolate chip cookie dough
2 8-oz. pkgs. cream cheese
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla

Layer 1 lb. of the cookie dough in the bottom of a 9x13 pan. Mix cream cheese, eggs, sugar, and vanilla until creamy. Pour mixture over layer of cookie dough. Layer remaining 1 lb. of cookie dough over mixture. Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown (20-30 minutes).

It's clear that people understand that the way to my heart is through dessert.
My reputation reaches farther than I realized. Even strangers are sending me dessert recipes.

not sure those should be called "Magic Bars" simply because of the other "foods" that have "magic" in them and their funny connotations.... *snickers*

but whatever jennifer ;) You're magic enough for any bar....

Maybe the original version of that recipe included "magic" ingredients. Drugs are bad, mmmkay?
