Pink M&M's

The other day I was at Kroger and noticed they were selling pink M&M's. The bag says, "Help fight breast cancer." So I've deluded myself into thinking that EATING the delicious pink candies prevents breast cancer. Coincidentally, I have to go shopping today to buy larger clothes because none of my winter stuff from last year fits anymore....but at least I'm helping fight breast cancer (35 cents from each 14 oz. bag and 50 cents from each 21.3 oz. bag is donated to the Komen Foundation).

Tonight we're going to a reception for the wedding we went to a few weeks ago. This is the BIG reception that is supposed to make all of the people who were not invited to the small wedding feel better about their standing with the bride and groom. Interestingly enough, the bride is Jewish and the groom is Christian and they're serving BBQ at this reception (some of which is pork). So that's a little interesting. I'm told that the aunt who was organizing the decorating for this party ordered little pig vases to go on each of the tables before the happy couple told her that it might be a little over-the-top offensive to some of the Jewish guests.
