And then the real fun began! From left to right, that's Me, Mary, and Mandy....but if you've read the previous entries, you should already know who is who!
Mary's friend Mark grilled some food (which was really good) and Keith set off to find the liquor store (we were in a dry county, so it took him two hours, round trip...he was not a happy camper!)
I packed every deck of cards I could find, so we took advantage of that fact by playing Nertz...just like old times (except in old times, we weren't plyed with alcohol). I laughed until my face hurt. I think the funniest moment was either when Mandy tried to open the window by pushing on it instead of sliding it or finding pieces of cork in our glasses of wine and Mary calling them "floaters." We told her just to swallow them like a normal person.
The funniest quote I can think of off the top of my head was, "I love my IPod...I'd make out with it if it could kiss me back!"--Mary
Anyway, we got in a few good games of Nertz while the boys played XBOX. We were all out of practice, but it was still fun.
Sometime in the wee morning, it was time to go back to my own room because checkout time was 10 in the morning and it was going to come early after a weekend of not sleeping as much as I'm used to...and it did!
It was sad to come home and realize I have to go to work in the morning, but the dogs were glad to see me this morning when I sprung them from doggy jail!
