Dream a Little Dream

I had a dream last night. It was one of those vivid almost-possible types of dreams that you really believe at the time. It seemed to go on forever.

I dreamed that Jerra, Kenneth, Kevin, Me, "Derwood" and some girl he had dragged along (or it could have been Paul!)had all gone on a road trip. We just happened to end up in Destin and while we were there, we decided to stop by our townhouse that we stayed in when we were down there before. The townhouse has a little lockbox thing outside the front door that has a combination on it. You punch in the right numbers and the key to the front door pops out. Well, in my dream, we decided that since we already knew the combination to get the key, we'd just go in and make ourselves at home.

We did and it was clean like the housekeeper had just come, but there wasn't anyone staying there. We were getting tired and Derwood said we should just stay there and clean it up when we left and nobody would know we had been there. I told him we needed to call the owner and see if it was already rented out to someone else. But I couldn't remember the owner's name or phone number, and I knew that the person's name and number on the fridge was not the owner (I actually learned that the hard way when we were down there). Anyway, I was torn between being excited to be down there and being completely stressed out because I was afraid that the new tenants would walk in any minute.

And then I woke up. Just thought I'd write that down while I still remembered it. I usually forget my dreams.

Yesterday, I was going to go to an orientation session at this church I've been visiting, so I went to early church and then I found my way to the library during late church because that's where orientation was supposed to be held. I got there fairly early and there was this guy in there who was trying to shelve library books. It was painful to watch, so I told him I'd help him. He's not the regular librarian (which explains why it was so painful), his wife is the librarian, but she's been out sick lately. Anyway, I helped him and he gave me his wife's name and phone number and told me she'd love to have some help and blah blah blah. So I might have accidentally worked myself into having a job. But I don't mind. I'd really like to computerize their check-in/check-out system. You can't imagine the mess it's in.

In the meantime, the guy who was supposed to be leading the orientation session came in and said they'd had to cancel it. Soo...I'll have to try again next month.

Which church have you been visiting? Does it have any singles Bible studies by any change? I'm sort of looking for a weeknight one.

Ack. That should be *any chance*.

Fellowship Bible Church. I don't think they have a specific singles one. The one I just started this week is the Beth Moore study on Daniel. I think it's going to be really good. It meets on Monday nights from 7-9ish. A friend of mine from my old church is going to that with me. If you want to join us, let me know. It's $15 for the workbook.
