Yard "Art" (TT # 15)

Y'all don't know how hard it is to go around taking pictures of lawn decor without getting busted. It's not totally natural to carry around a camera when you're walking your dog. As such, I had to be stealthy, fast, and yes, some of the pictures are a little blurry as a result. I did what I could, people.

And so I present you with 13 pictures of Yard "Art" from my very own neighborhood. Vote for the best...or worst!

1. A Big Rock--I don't understand what this is all about.

2.Moldy (and possibly decapitated) Statue

3.Gaggle of Geese...or are those ducks? Looks like they have some statues watching from the background.

4.Lots of Concrete--I think the green girl might be The Incredible Hulk's love child.

5.Sit, Ubu, Sit. Forever.

6.Faded fake flowers. Planted in pots outside. Nice. They aren't fooling anybody with these babies.

7.Wooden Wheelbarrow.

8.Ubu #2. I think he's there to guard the random smattering of white rocks.

9.Lonely turtle on a stick. With possible multiple bullet wounds.

10.Pagoda for the very tiny.

11.Wooooooooooo Pig Sooie! This is not the only one of these in the neighborhood, I can assure you.

12.I can't decide if this is a fairy or an angel. Either way, she's watching the sidewalk very intently.

13.Poop! This is what the neighborhood hoodlums do in their spare time. They have another masterpiece further down the road entitled "Bawls".

Interesting, I can't say to much (I have six dogs....) But I like the wheelbarrow... I also live in hillbilly nation... Perhaps that is it!

And if that isn't the next issue of Home and Garden I don't know what is.

The pig is hilarious!!!

I just might have to borrow this TT idea sometime. Some of my neighbors have some pretty weird stuff in their yards too. :-)

The Rock! There is a house around the corner from me whose yard is STUFFED with crap. I should take a picture.

I can't choose between the pig, the turtle, and the pagoda. It took me quite awhile to even FIND Hulk's love child. Obviously the poop graffiti is in a class entirely by itself--hilarious!

Oh, how I hate plastic flowers "planted" outside. They rank right up there with pink lawn flamingos as far as tacky goes. Great idea for a list!

Interesting. Depending on the neighborhood, America's Third World County ranges from the kind of kitsch you displayed to rusted cars up on blocks. I can't decide which is more "attractive"... *heh*

so you just went around snapping pictures in your neighbors yards? awesome! great TT!!

I don't particularly like any of those. But, I do know lots of older people who aren't able to garden that put artificial flowers in their pots.

Check out my TT.

Great post! There are some yard ornaments around here that make me wonder, too. LOL

that rock rocks actually. it looks more at home than angels, poodles or pigs anyway. also more useful: it would make the purrfect place for the cat in my TT this week to get dry. :)

thanx for visiting my TT both this week and last. You were already on the top of my list to visit this week because I hadn't been able to return vists the last couple weeks due to a cranky computer.

You should see the house I pass by everyday. Full of gnomes, garden butts shiouellettes, every tacky thing you can think of ... oh and also a sign that says "Jesus is Alive" on his roof. His neighbour has on his roof "And so is Elvis." I must get a picture of that.

Happy TT and thanks for dropping by mine.

Lol! I'm not a fan of lawn ornaments AT ALL, but I must say the wheelbarrow was kinda cute and the piggy hilarious!
Thanx for stopping by!
