'Tis the Season

I'm officially in the Christmas spirit.

Yesterday Kevin helped me put up the Christmas tree (I've never had help doing that before...it sure makes it go a lot faster!) and I think he has cleverly devised a way to affix the garland around the front door with the use of...are you ready for this? Magnets! Now we just have to find some suitable magnets.

I spent the duration of the Razorback game sitting in the living room floor wrapping presents. I have most of them done now. Just about 4 left to wrap, two of which haven't come in yet and two of which I kind of forgot about until I was done wrapping the others. When Kevin looked under the tree, he said something like, "Sweet Crap. This looks like a Christmas tree that belongs to a whole family." Yes. It. Does. I am definitely lobbying for the drawing of names next year. I'm always afraid that makes me seem like a miser, but it's so out of hand.

I've spent this afternoon doing Christmas Cards. I need a couple of people's addresses. Mary, please send me yours. I also need Laura's if anyone has it.

Here's my latest book recommendation. Falling Leaves: The Memoir of an Unwanted Chinese Daughter by Adeline Yen Mah. If you ever want to feel better about your own family, read this book. I learned quite a bit about Chinese history and how different historical events impacted individuals living in China at the time. I learned a few interesting things about Chinese culture too. Anyway, it's a very good book. Arthur is going to read it next, but I'll lend it to anyone who wants to read it after he's done.

My senses tell me after reading this post that you are a Razorbacks fan? Do not ask me how I deducted that, CSI: New York, Miami, Bama, Boise or Podunct has nothing on my skills.

Speaking of CSI maybe they should combine CSI and the Simpsons and have CSI: Springfield with Chief Wiggum. Now that would be a winner in my book.

Well anyways all I can say is ON WISCONSIN!!

He's like MacGuyver, but without that pesky mullet.
