The Blog that Wasn't

I started working on this blog yesterday but DARN IT people expected me to do some actual work yesterday.

I have to take 8.5 days of vacation before the end of the year unless I want to lose it (as you might imagine, I do NOT want to lose it). The challenge is that my coworkers also have days they need to take off, and we can't all take off at once. As such, I'm taking off a half day today and a whole day Friday (I'm actually "off" right now, but am still at my desk).

Last night Mr. Fix it did a beautiful job decking the halls. The house looks very homey now...aside from all of the post-Christmas-welcoming-frenzy that I need to clean up.

Yes Jenny, I am fascinated with the Chinese. And to think it all started with a little Chinese girl wearing a jacket with Chinese people cartoon characters. I owe it all to you! By the way, I'm glad you didn't have to get your feet bound because that just sounds like a bad idea all around.

The cold weather is starting to get to me. My hands are so dry and red and irritated. I do not know how much more I can take (granted it's only been cold for a week and is 50-something degrees outside right now). Please pool your resources and send me to a more favorable climate.

That is all. I'm off to the "girl doctor" today. Maybe this time she will at least offer to buy me dinner before she tries to feel me up. People these days have no manners.
