The recipe is here. I use milk chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet though because I'm an unapologetic sugar addict!
It's easy peasey. The last time I made it, I didn't use my springform pan. I just bought two ready-made graham cracker crusts (the extra big ones) and split the batter in two. That turned out OK, but store-bought graham cracker crusts don't compare to a homemade one.
I've also found that if I'm making a homemade crust, it's better to buy graham cracker crumbs instead of getting graham crackers and crumbling them yourself. The texture is more uniform with the pre-packaged crumbs.
If you use a springform pan (the presentation is better), use a water bath to help keep the cheesecake from cracking if you want to. It won't affect the taste any though.
And that's about all I have as far as cheesecake tips go.
But here's today's burning question:
Why did McAlister's put lettuce in my tea today? I didn't ask for lettuce in my tea. I wouldn't even dream of asking for lettuce on a sandwich, much less in my beverage of choice. Very bizarre.
