It's been a crazy day.
We were told that in order to celebrate the last day of summer, we could leave at noon. Hooray, right? Yeah, except we had to redo a bunch of stuff yesterday, so today we had to do a bunch of other stuff. Anyway, still, we got to leave at about 1:30. Hooray, right? Yeah, except my customer called my cell at 4:30 and told me they found some issues. So here I am, dialed in from home, waiting on the technical support group to call me back and tell me what I need to do to fix the problem--which is no doubt a very simple solution that I just can't figure out.
So that's what I'm doing. Once they call me back, I have to re-run everything and then do all the other stuff that it took two of us to do this morning (the rest of my team is out of town). My customer seems utterly unconcerned. Perhaps he started his weekend early with a few adult beverages. Usually he would be wetting his pants over this stuff.
Since football season is basically upon us, here are a few of my personal musings about football.
1. Unnecessary Roughness: What pansy came up with this? We have a bunch of grown men who have signed up to be thrown around and beaten up by their peers as curious onlookers view with morbid curiosity. There's no such thing as unnecessary roughness. Put your big girl panties on and deal with it. (note: This musing does not apply to Matt Jones. He's my favorite.)
I have others, but my brain just went on vacation, so I'm done here. Now back to work.
