Unloose the Girly-Girl!

I'm well on my way to being high maintenance. I'm accepting it. I'm learning to embrace it, even.

Today I got my first spa pedicure. Since "ped" means foot, I thought it would only be about the feet, but oh no! Do you wanna know what happens when you get all crazy and spontaneous and do things on the spur of the moment? Let me paint you a picture...

Bottom line is that I haven't shaved my legs in days. Shameful, I know, but it's winter time, and let's face it...nobody is seeing my legs anyway. So I've slacked, I've let things go, I've looked at the razor and known I should but I've rebelled.

I got in the massage chair and rolled up my jeans and stuck my feet in the little spa foot pool. So far so good. I was kind of hoping that the pedicure lady would not look at my legs too closely because they were not only hairy, but ashy as well. I'm one hot chick, let me tell you!

She did all the foot stuff (nobody told me that filing my toenails was part of the deal...I can't stand the sensation of nails being filed...I nearly came out of the chair a few times, but I just stuck my tongue out and soldiered on). That was fine. Then she squirted this oil/lotion junk all over my legs and started rubbing them. I looked at my Lemony friend and mouthed the fateful words, "Oh no, I didn't shave!!!" She thought that was funny. I guess I'll know for next time.

The little lady didn't let on about the stubble. I'm sure her hands were all cut up from it, but she persevered for several minutes.

Then she painted my toenails and made me sit under this light thing to help dry them. I sat there for what seemed like forever, and when I took them out, I accidentally bumped them on the table they were under and screwed up the polish on my big toe. Figures I would screw them up before I even left the establishment!
