Happy 2006!

I hope everyone has had a happy 2006 so far! Mine has been pretty good. So far I've gone to church and watched The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (truly depressing movie, but much better than I expected) and have drunk more coke than any human should ingest in one day!

I thought I would be able to take a nap this afternoon after staying up later than normal last night and waking up fairly early to get ready for Sunday school, but I couldn't fall asleep.

Oh, I need to make a proclamation of love! I love the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser! How was it able to get stray oil paint (apparently from one of my wild painting forays) off my kitchen wall without taking the wall paint off? I don't know, but I do appreciate it. It truly is magic.

Here's a funny story from yesterday. I decided I would make lasagne for dinner last night. Before I went to the grocery store, I checked to see which ingredients I had on stock and which I needed to buy and made a list. I looked in my cabinet for the noodles and saw a box that said, "lasagne" in big letters. I even checked how many ounces were in the box to make sure that I had enough. Everything was fine. I went to the store, got the rest of the ingredients, and came home and started cooking. I had browned the meat and was adding the sauce in to let it simmer when I realized that I should add the noodles to the boiling water. I got the box of "noodles" out of the cabinet, opened the box, and realized that it wasn't lasagne noodles. Oh no! It was generic lasagne flavored HAMBURGER HELPER! I'm such a dork! Lasagne Hamburger helper doens't even sound like something I'd want to eat! I had to ask Hayden to go to the store and get me some noodles on her way over.

Hamburger helper? I'd never thought you'd go out and buy something like that. Yuck! How did your lasagna turn out in the end?

Hehe. I know. Hamburger Helper is trailer park food for sure. I do actually like the Cheeseburger Macaroni flavor (though I only eat the noodle part), but I'm not sure what possessed me to branch out into another flavor.

The lasagne was pretty good, but I ate too much and it made me feel sick so the leftovers are still sitting in the fridge. I don't even want to look at them!
