...the day beginning a holiday weekend. Whoo hoo!
Today started out kind of crappy because I had to work until after 8:30 last night due to my customers being insane. UGH.
Anyway, I was a little sad because we got a note yesterday saying that we can all leave at 2 this afternoon to get an early start on the holiday. Unfortunately, I had a useless-waste-of-time meeting (A QAP review, for the initiated) scheduled until 3 which didn't make me happy. However, my boss intervened without any prompting from me and told the useless-waste-of-time meeting makers that they needed to reschedule because I was leaving at 2 today. So now I get to leave at 2 like everyone else and don't have to do the meeting until Tuesday. I never thought I'd say this, but my boss might be my new hero. At least for today. He even sent me a note saying he knew I'd had to work late due to my customer's incompetence (basically) and that he appreciated it. Which is cool because recognition is kind of rare with him--but he's getting better.
So, after work I'm going to Curves for my weigh and measure day. I feel OK about it this month. I probably haven't lost much weight, but I do feel like I'm toning up a little, so that's good.
And tomorrow I'm going to sort through the donations that have come in for Hurricaine Katrina victims in my community. The United Way has set up a shelter for them and we're expecting them to get here Monday, I think. That should be fun and should give me an idea of what's still needed so I can know what I need to donate.
