It was touch and go for awhile, but I think I'm going to make it.
If you ever have a horrendously sore throat (and of course you're not allergic to benzocaine), give Cepacol Sore Throat Spray a try. It says you only need one spray of it, but I used about 5 (one spray wouldn't cover my whole throat and I was in pain). Anyway, it helped me tremendously and the mint flavor isn't bad at all. I still have some sinus pressure, but maybe that will get better in the next day or two.
I took today off work and I must say that I could get used to being awakened from a nap by TheBoy delivering lunch to me.
