Weekend Recap

You Are Likely A Forth Born

At your darkest moments, you feel angry.
At work and school, you do best when your analyzing.
When you love someone, you tend to be very giving.

In friendship, you don't take the initiative in reaching out.
Your ideal jobs are: factory jobs, comedy, and dentistry.
You will leave your mark on the world with your own personal philosophy.

It didn't get my birth order right, but the description isn't too off...except for maybe the "you tend to be very giving" and the dentistry part.

Anyhoo, there I am with my niece who graduated this weekend. I have some more pictures to share, but I'll probably just upload them to my myspace. I haven't transferred them from my camera yet.

We got my cousin's stuff moved to the group home yesterday and I think part of her is excited and part of her is sad. She knows the other residents, though, and the lady she is sharing a bathroom with is really cute. She has Down's too, but when Kathy said hi to her, she waved and giggled. Some of the other residents can't speak (or won't speak), so at least her "suitemate" will interact with her (because let me tell ya, Kathy is a TALKER!).

She's so funny. We were going through her closet and getting rid of clothes that she doesn't want anymore or that don't fit. She got to one shirt that was a V-Neck and she said, "I don't want to take this with me because it's too sexy. It's low cut and I don't want to go out there looking sexy." I praised her for her modesty. It's amazing to me how pure her self-perception is. She worries so little about what other people think of her.

I've mentioned before that she likes to dance...in that way in which she just can't control herself when she hears music. She HAS to dance! So we were watching a very retro episode of Soul Train. She said that wasn't her kind of dancing (but if you turned your back to her, she'd immediately start dancing in her seat until you turned back around). Then she flipped through the channels later and came to a station that had community announcements with music playing in the background. Pink's Get the Party Started came on. Let's just say that Kathy got the party started! She makes me laugh.
