Welcome to the Gun Show
Updates as of yesterday--
Coke: Still haven't had one.
Exercise: 1st personal training session. Kill me.
Shrewness: On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the shrewiest, yesterday I was probably about a 9.5.
OK. Yesterday my trainer made me work on abs and legs. By the end of the day today, I'll barely be able to move. I went over there a little early because I didn't really have time to do anything else between the time I got off work and had to be there for my 6:00 appointment. So I hopped on a bike and took a relaxed-pace ride until time for my appointment (about 15 minutes). Then we did squats with a resistance ball, leg lifts, crunches, a calf lift machine, and an inside of the legs machine. When we were done with all that, he tried to sell me some personal training, which I refused. Then he asked me where I wanted to do my cardio and I said I'd like to try the elliptical machine since I've never used one before. He went over there with me and set me up for 45 minutes! Obviously he was trying to off me because I didn't buy personal training from him. That machine is rough! I stuck it out for 10 minutes and when I was tired of feeling like my knees had been removed from my body and I could fall over at any minute, I left. The little heart rate monitor kept going from "above" to "below" I could never get it to tell me I was actually doing something useful.
Also, he made me venture into the free weight area. That area scares me because there's a bunch of big sweaty men grunting like they're constipated.
I'm not going back today because we have dinner plans with Kevin's 'Pigs at Their Reception' friends. I will probably try to go back tomorrow.
My shrew-o-meter went crazy yesterday because I actually got word that 'Momma' is moving across the building. This is the moment we've all been waiting for. I should be significantly less shrew-like after the move.
