The Calm After the Storm

Things are finally starting to calm down. By calm down, I don't mean calm down. I just mean that things don't suck as much as they did last week-early this week.

I made Chicken in a Pot last night. I'll post the recipe for Arthur's viewing pleasure when I get a chance. I think it's somewhat healthy.

It's been a good Bookcrossing day for me today. I finally got a journal note for one of the 47 books I've released at the new OBCZ. That person joined the site as a result and says she's going to return the book to the basket when she's done, so that's one less book I have to restock. Also, another local Bookcrosser who I've had no previous dealings with donated 5 of her books to the basket today and says she wants to start coming to our monthly meetings. People are so unpredictable and busy though. Hopefully she'll follow through.

I haven't done an un-resolution update lately, so here goes:

I've been drinking nearly my whole 64 oz. jug of water each work day. I slack during the weekends.

I still drink some Cokes, but I've been keeping it down to 1-2 per week. When you consider that it wasn't unheard of for me to have 1-2 per day, this is a big improvement. Oh how I love Cokes.

I've been going to the gym about 3 times a week. Hopefully this week I'll make it there 4 times. It just seems like life gets in the way sometimes. I haven't really minded going very much, but I do plan my cardio around which machines would best allow me to read while exercising (without falling out in the floor and killing myself). At last count, I had lost almost 3 pounds, which I realize isn't a ton, but it's better than gaining almost 3 pounds so it's fine with me.

Still shrew-like. Some days are better than others.

This made me feel better about threatening to spray the feral cat the other day. It's a must see!
