SNAKES ON A PLANE! SNAKES ON A PLANE!

Is it lame that I want to go see that movie? If you wanna hear something really funny, go to www.snakesonaplane.com and send someone a personalized message from Samuel L. Jackson urging them to go see the movie. It entertained me for hours yesterday.

I got the following CNN breaking news alert via e-mail today:

-- Leading astronomers say Pluto is no longer defined as a planet, The Associated Press reports.

Is that the kind of thing you tell people so callously? Through e-mail? You mean all these years we've been lied to by our science teachers? How am I ever supposed to trust anyone again?

Arthur's music is so incredibly loud right now. I think maybe his headphones came unplugged like momma's always used to. Sounds like Beyonce.

Speaking of momma. Goodness gracious! Apparently her kid had pictures taken at Day Care. Well, her parents always pay for pictures (and pretty much everything else she has)--nevermind the fact that she just lied to someone a second ago and said that her parents always offer to pay but she won't let them. No, there's always a big production over her saying that she's going to give her parents first pick of the pictures because they've paid for them. I digress. Anyway, so she's got these pictures and she's fussing about not having enough 5X7s because all of the grandparents are going to want one. Then she says her husband was picking out some that he wanted and she said, "I was like, well, you better be forking over some money if you think you're going to get any of these pictures because I paid for them. And if your parents want some, they need to fork over some money too." Does she realize that she's married to this man and that the kid belongs to him too?

I've never heard anyone obsess over money the way she does. It's crazy. Seconds ago I just learned that she pays her housecleaner $55 a week (of course she's not satisfied with the level of service...they should stay all day if she's paying them that much, blah blah). For someone who spends as much money as she does, she sure is tight with it.

She pissed me off the other day when I was having a conversation with someone else (she always butts into my personal conversations--thus the need for the 4th wall) and we were talking about our expense reports. Another co-worker was saying that he had his vacation payment and some other stuff on one credit card statement and what a shock it is to open that bill. I told him I had my expense report stuff and my vacation on one statement and I had the same reaction, even though I was being reimbursed. She butted in and said, "Yeah, that's when you call mom and say, 'send money!'" I said, "Uh, no. I don't do that."

Am I getting the shaft somehow? Do all grown-ups call their parents and ask for money all the time and have the money flow in like milk and honey?

Sometimes I fear that Arthur is going to knock her out when she interrupts our conversations. Well, it's part fear and part excitement, to be perfectly honest.

I'm somewhat ashamed to admit that I saw "Snakes on a Plane" this weekend, but it really wasn't a bad movie. Other than one rather uncomfortably lengthy gratitous nudity scene gone bad, I would have to say it was good mindless fun. Of course half of the fun is making fun of it, but it did have a plot, and it wasn't terrible. I don't recommend it if you have snake issues though.

Duane wants me to go see that with him for two reasons: 1) It's Samuel L. Jackson & 2.) It's stupid. LOL. I tried to send him a "personalized" message too and Samuel told me he couldn't pronounce Elaine! DAGNABIT SAMUEL L. JACKSON! Anyway, yeah duane told me about Pluto too...he said they are telling kids in school now. o.O
