The lesson I learned yesterday was that cute shoes cause blisters. I will be wearing the butt-ugliest shoes I own in NY in an effort to maintain pain-free feet.
So we drive down to LR yesterday and the customers are late getting in (because they were all hung over), but when the finally did arrive, they brought gifts for most of us. I got this huge box of Godiva chocolates plus a stuffed bunny with a little basket of other Godiva chocolates. All of the guys got personalized bottles of Johnny Walker Black Label scotch. They walked in with a Smirnoff box and we were joking with them about it because we thought they were just using it to carry their paperwork or whatever. But then they started pulling out booze. It was really bizarre.
Then we walked down to Sticky Fingerz for lunch and Mr. Beautiful kept musing over how many different varities of chicken they had. "Wow, this is really weird that they have all these different kinds of chicken." To which I replied, "Well it IS a rock and roll chicken shack." I don't think he understood that it really is a rock and roll chicken shack though because he continued to muse.
Anyway, after our meetings, we figured out that they really have no use for us now that we don't pay for their food and beverages anymore. We were going to go to dinner with them and they were like, "Uh...I don't think we're ready to eat. Do you guys want to wait about an hour?" And I told them I didn't want to sit around the office for an hour, I'd rather just go home. So we went to the Underground Pub and played pool. Well, I didn't play, I just watched. But that was OK. We didn't have to stay long and then we got to head on home. I think they were going to check out the Wings and Strings Bikini Contest at the Electric Cowboy later on in the evening. Mr. Beautiful actually sounded pretty excited about it being ladies night...which is kind of confusing. Remember Ace and Gary? We're not sure. But no matter. He's still fun to look at until he speaks.
