Well, I did accomplish everything I set out to accomplish yesterday. That was a good feeling. I only jogged a mile, but my lungs were killing me and my legs were wobbly when I quit, so I guess that's OK. I've had a couple of weeks off, so I guess it's best not to overdo it. I weighed myself while I was there and though it wasn't good, it wasn't as bad as I expected. I don't think I had gained any since the last time I was there. If I did, it was minor. At any rate, I've got to get back in the swing of things.
I did a base coat for my simple painting. I'll do another coat this evening. I really like having all my painting stuff in my officey room instead of taking up my whole kitchen table. It's much nicer this way.
Oh, and I even got industrious and cleaned my bathtub. Ajax is my friend! Anyway, I started to clean it and noticed that the water wasn't draining very well. College chicas: remember in school when we'd always have to take showers in ankle deep water because our hair was forever clogging up the drain? It reminded me of those "good" times. :) But alas, there was no maintenance man to come clean it out, so I was left to my own devices. I'll spare you the details, but let's just say I'm pretty sure that I pulled enough hair out of there to donate to Locks of Love. It was crazy. I guess that's one of the drawbacks of growing one's hair out. And of shedding.
Anyway, I did all that and still had time to read a little from Jan Karon's Light from Heaven (the last book in the Mitford Series). It's a great feel good series about an Episcopal priest in NC and all of his church members and people of the community. It took me a little while to get into it, but now it's one of my favorites. I'm not a huge fan of Christian Fiction, but this one isn't so in your face and obnoxious, so I give it an A+. This concludes my book review corner for the day.
In other news, I've concluded that some people exist just to waste my time. It could be some kind of psychological experiment, or a curse, or some kind of exercise in building patience. In any case, I don't like it.
