Jogging and Flies and Forgotten Taco Shells

Yesterday I got my case for my MP3 player, so I jogged with it for a little while. I only jogged for 15 minutes (probably walked for 15 minutes too), but that's much better than not going at all. I felt pretty good about it.

I figured out yesterday that my MP3 player isn't compatible with my operating system at home, which kind of sucks. But at least I can transfer music at work. It's not like I'm using my CD drive for anything up here anyway.

When I got home from jogging, I noticed there was a fly on my shirt. I kind of brushed him off, but he kept coming back. I sat down at my computer and felt him crawling on me, so I slapped him. He landed upside down on my desk and kicked his little legs in the air. Then the leg kicking stopped and I thought he was dead. Nope. He flipped back over and flew off. Obviously one tough fly.

So then I went to take a bath. I felt something biting me on my neck and slapped at it. Same fly. I made contact with it so I started looking in the water for it, but it wasn't there. Later I found it still alive and well, perched on the wall. I didn't know that regular old houseflies bit. I didn't see any more of him after that.

Today we have a Mexican food potluck at work. I signed up to bring taco shells, and I actually bought some the other day...but wouldn't you know that I left them at home! So I guess I'll get some more. I really don't want to go all the way back across town to get them from my house so I'll probably just run to Target and pick some up.

I bet there won't be any turkey tacos, but cow tacos will be OK as long as they don't use Wal-Mart cow. The texture of Wal-Mart cow is all wrong. If all else fails, I can always eat chips and cheese dip. That's a whole food group at my house.
