Heather is a Slave Driver!

She makes me hurt.

Last night I ran from the bridge between the one at the Salem parking lot and the Country Club overpass all the way to Hogan. And she wanted me to turn around and run back. She must be insane! :) I did run from Country Club back to Salem on the way back though.

We saw a little baby copperhead on the trail. I kind of felt bad for it. I'm sure it wouldn't have slithered out onto the middle of the trail if it would have known what it was getting into. It looked kind of shell shocked.

This morning I went to McDonalds on the way to work (I never do that because their food is inferior to CFA) and I don't understand the mystery of the two lane drive through. How do they know which order is mine? Why aren't there more wrecks in the merging area? Why do they have a water feature in the little median between the lanes? Is that supposed to calm us and reduce the number of wrecks in the merging area? So many questions and so few answers.

I had thought about starting back at choir tonight, but I think I've changed my mind. I think I'll wait at least until after the 5K so I can jog on Wednesdays and stay on schedule. Plus, I think they need to get the Sunday school situation ironed out before I commit to any more activities. Maybe I'm being skunky about the whole situation, but I don't really 100% believe that they will follow up on the Sunday school class (the new singles class they started but don't have a teacher for, yet they still listed it as an available class starting last Sunday so we all showed up and just sat there...that class). So we'll see. I hope they really are working on it like one of the pastors told me, but honestly I've heard it from him before and he hasn't really meant it. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. Or in this case 3 or 4 times. I really just wish people would be honest and not blow smoke up my rear end. That's the part that bugs me most. Hi, my name is Jen and I'm fed up.
